  • Lead project teams composed of analysts, designers, developers, and testers to develop and implement new features and functionality into new and existing internet web sites.

Healthvision, Development Technology (Departmental spin-off from VHA) 1999-2001
Development Manager
  • Managing and leading teams of developers to develop and implement new features and functionality into new and existing internet web sites.
  • Develop technical specifications from business requirements.
  • Allocate development resources for defect management.
VHA, Health Information Technology – Web Development (Created Healthvision) 1999-1999
Project Manager
  • Developed business requirements and technical specifications for VHA Online, an internet/intranet application that services the 1900 member base of VHA.
  • Design, develop and implement the Physician Portal internet application used to seamlessly access physician information.
  • Allocated development resources to ensure work was accomplished for monthly releases.
CompUSA, Information Systems 1996-1999
Promoted to Supervisor Internet Development in 1997.
  • Supervised a team of Internet developers (6 full time, 4 consultants) building the CompUSA Commercial Website, using Microsoft NT, IIS, ASP, HTML, C++ and SQL Server.
  • Intranet sites include CompUSAPC, Rural Store Kiosk, and Warehouse Outlet.
  • Project management to ensure Development, Quality Assurance, Documentation, Install and Support teams are ready for project implementation.
Supervisor Quality Assurance
  • Assigned tasks to QA team (4 full time, 2 contractors) based on the needs of development and production.
  • Search, interview and hire QA personnel into the QA group.
  • Instituted QA standards in conjunction with production and development. These standards included QA methodologies, laboratory proposal, and service level agreements with other departments.
  • Team lead for a committee to implement the SDLC process within CompUSA.
LABORATORY CORPORATION OF AMERICA, Information Systems 1993-1996
Promoted to Manager in 1996.
  • Manage multiple teams consisting of (10 programmer/analysts, 4 QA analysts, 6 help desk support specialists, 2 trainers and 2 documentation specialists) producing PC based laboratory physician systems.
  • Coordinate activities between these departments as well as other departments within LabCorp.
  • Supervisory duties as listed below.
Promoted to Supervisor in 1995.
  • Assigned tasks to developers based on the needs of Production, Support and QA departments.
  • Interview programmer/analysts to hire into the development staff.
  • Instituted product standards for Coding and User Interface.
Promoted to Group Lead in 1994.
  • Group Lead / Project Management for a laboratory system developed in Visual Basic.
  • Driving force that led upper management to approve the creation of the QA Group.
  • Tracking of SQA procedures and coordinated testing and release of the product.

  • Project Lead to install laboratory-testing software into physician offices.
  • Key member of the development team to develop and implement the laboratory system nationwide.

Promoted to Specialist Product Engineer in 1990.
  • Designed and developed several Mathcard applications using Visual Basic for Windows.
  • Developed and enforced dialog box and coding standards used in the WinMate product.
  • Wrote sample C++ applications.
  • Attended Software Publishers Association seminars for promotion and support.
  • Produced and Directed DeskMate Development Seminars for vendor developers.
  • Provided technical support for the DeskMate Development System.

  • Designed and developed the DeskMate Development System which consisted of producing technical documentation for vendors writing applications using the DeskMate interface as well as writing many sample applications in C showing the various capabilities of the DeskMate interface.
